Joker 2 trailer

The 2019 release of the first Joker movie captured fans’ attention with its psychological thriller plot. It showed how failing clown and entertainer Arthur Fleck changed into the infamous bad guy Joker. The film focused on Fleck’s spiral into craziness and the consequent impact he had on Gotham City’s controlled people.

Phoenix is back in the sequel, officially titled Joker: Folie à Deuxas Arthur Fleck and Todd Phillips are returning to direct and co-write with Scott Silver. What fans are most excited about is the arrival of Lady Gaga to the DC universe.

In Joker 2, Lady Gaga will portray the renowned Batman villain Harley Quinn. She has already given us first look at her in action, as well as behind-the-scenes images of her dressed as Harley Quinn.

Joker 2 : On October 4, 2024, Folie à Deux will be released in theatres.

Director Todd Phillips announced the start of the sequel’s filming in December 2022 by releasing the first image of Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role as Arthur Fleck. Fans have been letting their imaginations run wild while anticipating news about the follow-up by imagining what Joker would look like. They have exchanged creative ideas and fan art, making predictions about the movie’s plot and Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn interpretation.

Joker 2 trailer: Is there a trailer?

Although filming may have begun, we have yet to see a trailer for Joker 2, and we won’t for a while. The only thing we have so far is a very brief teaser that Lady Gaga posted to her Twitter account. It merely consists of black silhouette illustrations of Gaga and Phoenix set to music.

Joker 2 cast: Who is starring in the sequel?

Joker 2 trailer

As previously mentioned, Lady Gaga will play Harley Quinn in the movie. She is the second Harley Quinn appears in the DC Universe after Margot Robbie, but remember that Joker is set in a different time period than other DC films like Suicide Squad.

Robbie praised Lady Gaga for being cast as Harley, stating, “It’s such an honour to have built a foundation strong enough that other actors get to try to play her, and I’m confident that she’ll do it amazingly.”

We got our first look at Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn on February 14, 2023. Then, in March 2023,set photos started to surfaces.

Harry Lawtey from Industry, Catherine Keener from Get Out, Jacob Lofland from Maze Runner, and Brendan Gleeson from Banshees of Inisherin all join the cast for major but unconfirmed roles.

Zazie Beetz is expected to return as Sophie, but it’s unclear at this time whether Douglas Hodge and Dante Pereira-Olson will continue to play Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth, respectively.

Joker 2 : Storyline

Other than what we can infer from the title (which we already discussed), no specific plot details have been revealed as of yet. However, we are aware that the film will at least partially be a musical.

In the final scene of the Joker movie, Arthur is reportedly detained and taken to Arkham State Hospital after the riots that tore through Gotham City were put out by the police. He dances down the hospital hallway in the film’s concluding shot, leaving red footprints in his wake. He is believed to have murdered the doctor who was examining him.

The other critical question for the Joker sequel is who will play Arthur’s antagonist. In the first movie, the Joker’s biggest obstacle was actually him. The film’s main plot revolved around his transformation from a hazily normal member of civil society into a ruthless killer.

Where do we go from here, though? What brand-new details exist regarding the Joker?

According to set photos, the sequel will apparently involve the Batman villain Harvey Dent. It’s unclear though whether he’ll actually show up in the film or if he’ll just play a supporting role.
