Based on the well-known video game of the same name, Blumhouse’s horror comedy Five Nights at Freddy was released on Friday, October 27. In its first weekend alone, it made $ 130 million at the box office, more than six times the $ 20 million production budget of the movie. One natural question that remains after the film’s extraordinary success is: will there be a sequel? With thirteen video games, the showrunners will almost definitely tackle a second instalment of the video game adaptation movie. The post-credits scene, which has established a possible future plot, is another element that raises the possibility of this happening.

A sequel may well be in the works as one of the main cast members, Matthew Lillard (known for Scream), has reportedly signed a three-film deal. Emma Tammi, the director of Five Nights at Freddy, recently told Variety that she would be delighted to take on more projects if the movie does well. She continued, “This one was tied into the first game, and we would probably focus on tying the second one into the second game, and so on and so forth. We’re definitely excited to keep making more movies in this world, We will be lucky enough to do that. However, anything can happen. Let us wait and see.
Tammi also revealed that she intends to include more appearances in her films from the YouTube gaming community. In the first film, she introduced Cory Williams, also known as CoryxKenshin. The movie was also supposed to include YouTuber Markiplier, but he had to back out because of a scheduling conflict. “Mark is an integral part of this franchise. We all hoped to make it work when we reached out. Unfortunately, the scheduling for this one did not work out because we were filming concurrently with Markiplier’s film. But going forward, we would be thrilled to have him on board, added Tammi.
